We have all heard the saying “you are what you eat”, but how true is that statement, really? A healthy diet is one of the fundamental keys to overall health and wellbeing. We all know that we’re “supposed” to eat several servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day, but how many busy professionals have the time for that? This is one of the major problems plaguing workers in Corporate America.

A recent study* shows that two thirds (66%) of American Workers prefer to buy their lunch over packing and bringing it to work.  Many workers believe that they don’t have the time to pack a lunch for work, and others simply don’t know what to bring. The same reasons are often given for why they don’t eat breakfast, arguably the most important meal of the day. This causes many employees to make unhealthy choices for their meals, which contributes to obesity and high cholesterol, among other health issues.

Yoga by Nature believes that an important component to wellness is teaching employees how easy it is to eat healthy. Our programs include nutritional seminars where we demonstrate how to shop for and create healthy 5-minute meals and snacks that can have a big impact on their overall health and on their pocketbook. Our nutritionists are also available for private nutrition coaching outside of the office.
